Head of the Lune 2019
Liverpool University Boat Club have had a great start to 2019 Head season with a successful Lancaster Head on the 17th November. This was our second race this season and with a course of only 2.5km we sprinted our way to the finish line.
Our training plan has intensified this academic year, each rowing on average 130km per week on the land and water. The training certainly paid off as we had wins from the Women’s coxed 4 and 8, and the men’s coxed 4 and single scull – all receiving glossy medals.
We can’t wait to compete in the upcoming races, including: Head of the River Fours on November 23rd, Rutherford Head on December 8th and BUCS Head in the new year. This will be our chance to see where we now stand amongst other universities, such as Nottingham and Sheffield Universities.
